The Sardinian languages can be divided into three main stocks: Campidanese, spoken in the south; Logudorese, the language of the hinterland; and Gallurese, spoken in the North. All Romance languages, with significant Catalan, Spanish, Ligurian and Italian influences; the lexical structure of the spoken language may vary considerably from town to town.
