The territory bears the marks of events which have taken place throughout the ages. The prehistoric era characterised by the necropolis dating back to the Copper Age and the characteristic “nuraghi” of the Bronze Age; the remains of the Phoenician, Punic and Roman coastal towns; the medieval remains of castles and Romanesque churches; the industrial archaeology of mines dating back to the nineteenth century.
